For the fourth consecutive year, the Venice Film Festival, whose 72nd edition opened on Wednesday 2 September, will include the Green Drop Award, a tribute organised by the Italian Green Cross for the film that pays particular attention to the conservation of the planet, sustainable lifestyles and international cooperation. The winning movie will receive the Green Drop trophy, blown by master glassworker Simone Cenedese of Murano, which represents a drop of water and contains a sample of earth, each year from a different country. The earth in the 2015 award will be revealed on the presentation of the award in Venice on Monday 7 September.
