The experience of Italian companies notable for their commitment to sustainability and reduction of greenhouse gas, through voluntary agreements with the Ministry of the Environment and programs to measure products’ carbon footprint, will be at the centre of the national congress “The Italy that chooses the environment”, to begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Aula Magna of the Luiss University in Rome (viale Pola 12).
The Luiss congress wants to stimulate debate on the opportunities opening up in Italy to enable companies to invest in sustainability, benefiting innovation, competitiveness and a new economic rebirth.
Participating in the event will be a number of companies known for their commitment to sustainable development: San Benedetto, Pirelli, Confindustria Ceramica, Università Ca’ Foscari, NTV and Carlsberg Italia. The debate will be moderated by Antonio Cianciullo, a journalist with La Repubblica, and presented by the Minister for the Environment Corrado Clini.
